In 2018 Jon Dixon started performing with a local band, Freudian Slippers, as pianist. Based in Oakham, Rutland, the eclectic 4-piece band gig around the East Midlands area performing (they describe) ‘well-known but rarely played, off-beat songs – or just plain cracking covers, to anyone who will listen’. Jon insists their style is far from the dance sound he is known for, but he is loving being a part of this group of talented musicians. Another life-long ambition fulfilled his new project gets him out of the house and gives his wife Debbie a break from listening to dance music all hours of the day.
